A pair of lapis lazuli and gold stud earrings, 18ct yellow gold, made as round stud panels of domed form, each centred by a polished piece of lapis lazuli, measuring approximately 14.8 mm, strong deep, blue in colour, framed by a scalloped gold frame, open to back, completed, with pierced posts and sprung clip backs.

    They were the source of the stone for the ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman civilsations.
