Provenance: Private Collection, purchased 1968 Carl Shipman collection accompanied with a letter to Carl Shipman explaining purchase of this piece Carl Shipman was an astute Australian collector of Aboriginal and Oceanic material in the 1960s. He was self published author on the subject, parts of his collection are in the National Museum of Victoria and National Gallery of Australia, La Trobe University Ethnographic collection and Israel Museum, Jerusalem, Israel private collection, Melbourne, height 128 cm
