A jade 'mythical beast' seal, 19th/20th century, the rectangular base surmounted by a recumbent beast, its head turned to the side with snarling expression, the sides of the base encircled with an incised rope twist border, the face with a four-character seal, carved from a pale stone with areas of dense russet suffusions, 6.7 cm long
