A Chinese calligraphy Ouyang Zhongshi (1928-), dated 1981, the scroll was presented to a Western visitor in Beijing just two years after the beginning of China's open door policy, 96.5 cm high, 33 cm wide other Notes: Ouyang Zhongshi is the director of the Chinese calligraphers association, and an associate professor in philosophy at the capital Normal University in Beijing, China. In 2013 Zhongshi won the first Confucious Art prize. He is recognized as one of the foremost calligraphers in China of the modern era.
