Two Chinese Yixing Zisha Teapots 19th/ first half 20th century one teapot of deep purplish brown clay in the form of a narcissus flower, covered in a mottled blue 'Robin's egg' glaze, with a square impressed seal mark of Shao Ping to the base., the other diminutive teapot of compressed globular form, the mouth-rim, foot-rim and rim of the lid bound in brass, with a seven character inscription to the base reading 'Qianlong nian Zhi' (made in the Qianlong period), followed by 'Hui Mengchen., the name Hui Mengchen was used by many later potters indicating superior workmanship., the brass mounts indicate that this teapot was made for the Thai market, the mounts having been added in Thailand at the time of importation, the robin's egg teapot, 7.8 cm high, 17.5 cm wide., the small brass mounted teapot, 6.8 cm high, 10.5 cm wide.
