An album of seventy portraits, 19th/20th century, each lobed oval portrait painted in ink and colours on silk, laid down on gold flecked paper, comprising sixty-nine depicting Lohan and one of Buddha, each wearing loosely draped robes, their features and other details well defined, some seated on mats, others on rocks or piles of leaves, some holding a scroll, others a fly whisk or a begging bowl, and others an ambrosial vase, Buddhist lion or sceptre, the figure of Buddha seated on a lotus base holding a lotus flower in his right hand. each portrait 28.5 x 30 cm, the album 38 x 40 cm.
