A 1940s Jane Brenkley waka huia, smaller and similar to above, lozenge form, the lid, front and back with relief carved stylised tiki face, tongue extended, cat's-eye shell inserts (one missing), the interior lid with a lakeside scene including a traditional Maori couple, pokerwork and painted detail, the interior painted green and with old fabric lining to the base, raised on two bar-form feet. 20 x 14.5 x 13 cm
