A framed pair of epaulets and a letter of appointment belonging to Lieutenant Richard Caley, together with a letter from the Office of Lord High Admiral of Great Britain, dated 4 November 1795, appointing Caley to the position of Lieutenant aboard HMS Audacious, a 74 gun Royal Naval ship which was in service from 1785 to 1815. 59 x 85 cm (overall). Accompanied by a letter from Russell Crowe stating his ownership. Provenance: Mr Russell Crowe, Sydney. These framed epaulets were decoration in my accommodation during the shoot of the film, Master and Commander (2003).' Russell Crowe
