A marine survey chronometer, two-day duration with Arnold type spring detent escapement and electrical contact mechanism to deliver audible signals at one second intervals through earphones, silvered dial signed Glasshutte Uhrenbetriebe, No.6854. Two-part gimballed case with glazed top lid and padded outer protective box with leather strap and buckle. Ratchet type winding key. c.1940
