A Chinese melon shaped vessel withragon handle & elephant spout, & two goblets on low stems, in the Tang Dynasty Tradition, gold embossed over metal, the floral arabesques scrolling vine on each of the eight segments, highlighting the Persian & Central Asian influence from the trade along the silk Routes, made by a master craftsman, molded & hand finished. Provenance: Commissioned by the vendor & the moulds taken from the original, Liao Empire, [today Mongolia] now in Xian Museum, height 15 & 6 cm
