A.B.: 'My Bent Barry' - 'Barry Brickell was annoyed by the slumping of this piece, the front wall of the upright shape (was) not strong enough, and too close to the (kiln) stoke hole, nevertheless he exhibited it in his solo show at the N.Z. Academy of Fine Arts, in Wellington, in the early 2000s. He recognised its beauty, which I totally agree with, when I bought it. It is therefore entirely unique
