Pair of 18ct gold, diamond studs and earring jackets, the round brilliant-cut diamonds weighing 1.02 and 1.01 carats respectively are claw-set, post fittings, together with a pair of detachable diamond set halo jackets. (2) Accompanied by GSL reports numbered AA59089/7 and AA59089/6, dated 5 July 2017, stating that the 1.02 and 1.01 carat diamonds are I colour, VS2 and SI1 clarity respectively.

Additionally, the carat is not the only factor to determine the value of a diamond, other factors such as clarity, colour and cut are important too.

    In the gold industry, the purity of gold is measured in carats (abbreviated "ct"), with 24 karats being pure gold and lower carat numbers indicating a lower purity level. So, for example, 18 carat gold is 18/24 or 75% pure gold, and 12 carat gold is 12/24 or 50% pure gold.
