A massive Chinese porcelain shallow bowl, painted to the centre with a riverside village scene with a family, in polychrome enamels framed by a cobalt border painted, in gilt with nine phoenix birds on a cloudy background, Qianlong seal mark to the base. The exterior similarly painted in blue and with multiple sinuous dragons on a fiery background. Diameter 62 cm
