Moorcroft, Hardy Brothers commemorative vase, 2013, limited edition 25/50, designed by Kerry Goodwin, impressed and inscribed: Moorcroft, Made in Stoke on Trent, England, Gj, R, further stamped Kg & 'Made for Hardy Brothers', 2013 and signed K Goodwin, 21 cm high, Note, A few weeks after he first stepped foot on Australian soil, John Hardy established a jewellery business from his rooms at Jamieson Street, Sydney. From 1855, Hardy Brothers operated from premises at 13 Hunter Street, Sydney, beofre moving to Castlereagh Street, Sydney in 1934. For Kerry it was Hunter Street a century and a half ago that ignited her imagination. Exclusively designed in celebration of Hardy Brothers 160 year anniversary, the Moorcroft 'Jewellery House' commemorative piece depicts Hardy Brothers Jewellers first store on Hunter St in Sydney, 1855.
