A pair of Continental boy and girl porcelain ice skaters, late 19th century, with double crossed blue marks for Schierholz/Plaue, the boy in plum coloured jacket and breeches, the girl in a mid-green skating skirt and jacket with a fur trim, carrying a muff and with a coral coloured scarf about her head, supported on tree trunks above pierced lattice weave bases, underglaze marks underside. Heights: 30 cm and 29 cm
