A Chinese porcelain vase painted in underglaze blue, with peonies & opposing phoenix, Qing Dynasty 18th/19th century, a tall, elegant shape with a straight neck above the rounded shoulder, the low waist rising from a widely splayed foot, the decoration of flowers and foliage above a border of foaMing waves and ruyi, height 55 cm. Provenance: Purchased by a lady in Canton in 1967
