Edgar Brandt (1880 - 1960) was a French Art Deco ironworker and designer. He is known for his wrought iron furniture, lighting fixtures and decorative objects, many of which were created for the Art Deco movement. He was one of the most prominent ironworkers of his time, and his work was highly influential in the development of the Art Deco style.

Brandt was born in Nogent-sur-Seine, France and began his career as an apprentice blacksmith. He quickly developed a passion for the art of ironworking, and by the turn of the century he had established himself as a master craftsman. He opened his own workshop, "Edgar Brandt - Atelier de Fer" in Paris and began producing high-quality wrought iron furniture, lighting fixtures, and other decorative items. He quickly gained recognition and his work was exhibited in many prestigious exhibitions and events like Paris Salon d'Automne and the World more...
