Ray Taylor was born in Melbourne in 1944. He studied at Phillip Institute of Technology, Chisholm Institute of Technology, Caulfield, and Hawthorn Teachers' College, Victoria. He has held solo exhibitions at The Craft Centre, South Yarra, Victor Mace Fine Art Gallery, Brisbane, and Elmswood Gallery, Adelaide. He is represented in National Gallery of Victoria, Queensland Art Gallery, Art Gallery of Western Australia and a number of regional and municipal galleries.
