William Moorcroft created designs for the Macintyre's Aurelian Ware range of high-Victorian pottery, which had transfer-printed and enamelled decoration in bold red, blue and gold colours. A pot pourri was a container with a perforated cover or lid, to hold sweet-smelling herbs or petals, that was intended to produce a pleasant scent. In the late 20th century Stuart Devlin designed and produced several examples.
