Three Japanese ceramic Foxes (Kitsume), [3], these figures were left as offerings at the Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine of Inari, located in old Kyoto. Meiji period, foxes are regarded as messengers for spirits or phenomena that are worshiped in the religion of Shinto. Provenance: Todd Barlin collection. 15 cm, 15 cm, 21 cm
