Early Sydney themed glass slides with a large sequence showing Inauguration day celebrations in George Street, Centennial Park, Sydney Harbour, the Showground these often marked 'HN 1' to 53, the photograph noted by institutions as unknown Photographer, most probably the work of John Degotardi Jnr, the principal photographer for the NSW Dept of Public works Photographic & Heliographic branch from 1898 to 1919, & thus the H (Heliographic) N (number) for the Federation slides. Other notable images include the burnt out Anthony Horderns building (two variants, for probable stereo slide), tennis, cricket & ladies curling team & Australia's 4th Prime Minister George Reid with his dog. Excellent images of the Brittanic at circular Quay, Northbridge, and leisurely life in Sydney 1901. Note photo slides are negatives & have been digitally turned to positive for cataloguing purposes. Condition good to fair, most in very good condition with exceptional detail, four damaged plates. Dimensions of slides 16.5 x 12 cm
