A novelty Continental porcelain covered pin dish. Early 20th century, possibly Volkstedt, with beehive mark and an impressed star, the small covered pot decorated with underglaze blue flowers to the lower section, the lid in the form of a voluptuous peasant woman in a headscarf; with painted and impressed marks underside. Height 9.5 cm. Diameter 7.5 cm. (irregular)
