Matau Fish Hooks (2). Early contact period; elaborately rendered one-piece bone fish-hook with double intertwined kaniwha 'barbs'. End finely carved for line attachment. Inscribed in black ink: 'Web Col 1247'. Early contact period; elaborately rendered one-piece shell fish-hook. Inscribed in black ink: 'Web Col 1248'. Both hooks noted by Webster to have been found in Waimarama, Chatham Islands. Length 2.6 cm. Width 1.6 cm' Length 2.8 cm. Width 2 cm. Enys collection.
