Sam Egan Egg by Neal Purchase This is an original example of a super short S deck egg that was meant as a standup board, measuring 4 feet 8 inches x 19 inches, circa 1970. As short as you could go and still stand up, and very rare along with the first generation short twin fins. Not a pop-out but hand shaped, with the fin glassed into a purpose-built glass fin box. Condition-rates a 6/10 with plenty of repaired dings and sunburn etc, but a rare and collectable board.

  • Circa - A Latin term meaning 'about', often used in the antique trade to give an approximate date for the piece, usually considered to be five years on either side of the circa year. Thus, circa 1900 means the piece was made about 1900, probably between 1895 and 1905. The expression is sometimes abbreviated to c.1900.
