Phar Lap's Horse Shoes: Pair of horse-shoes, one front, other hind, ex Tommy Woodcock. Shoes are steel alloy, both inscribed 'Wood's/ Bolton Eng/ Pt 12609', '8H' & 'Brookes' (who was the only farrier that shod Phar Lap in Sydney). Mounted in a frame with picture of Tommy Woodcock holding the front shoe, and letter of Authenticity from master farrier Dick Bell, overall 82 x 79 cm. Also cassette tape of Tommy Woodcock talking about the shoes in 1982. (Provenance: Sold by Sotheby's in 2000, and displayed for some years at the horseracing museum at Caulfield Racecourse)
