Barcelona Chair - One of the most enduring forms from the Art Deco period, the Barcelona chair consists essentially of two leather cushions slung on a curving tubular steel frame. Originally designed in 1929 by the architect Mies Van Der Rohe, for the German pavilion for the International Exposition of 1929, which was hosted by the city of Barcelona, Spain. The chairs are still being manufactured by Knoll Inc. but there are numerous unauthorized copies also available.
