Certificate of Freedom. Printed document completed in manuscript, dated Hobart Town, January 1856, on both sides of a quarto leaf, signed by the Acting Comptroller-General of the Convict Department. Granting liberty to one Joseph Taylor, who had been transported to Van Diemen's Land in 1852, after having been convicted at Coventry in 1849, at the age of seventeen. With a detailed description of him on reverse.
