A Royal Doulton 'Flambe Veined' vase and a Poole 'Galaxy' plate, mid 20th century and later, the 'Flambe Veined' vase, shape number 1618, of globular form rising to a slender straight neck, richly glazed in blood red with modulating and textured swirls of black, umber and khaki, thicker towards the base; the Poole 'Galaxy' plate with a brown matte glaze with high gloss red to yellow organic spots; both stamped underside. Plate diameter 22 cm. Vase height 23 cm
