A late 19th century/early-20th century muka kete/tea cosy, banded with looped and wavy woven designs, long tasselled fringe with bow and tassel to the tapered end. Note: similar kete are recorded as being made c.1890 as 'Fashion' or dress items intended for social occasions, 'Sunday Best'. Possibly from the Rangitikei region. Registered Y15151. 31 cm x 37.5 cm
