A gilt copper figure of Buddha Shakyamuni, Nepal, 18th/19th century seated in dhyanasana on a lotus base over a throne supported by a lion and lioness, his right hand lowered in bhumisparsa mudra and the left in varada mudra, wearing loosely draped robes incised with cloud motifs on the border, the face with lowered gaze and peaceful expression, supported on a rectangular base backed by an intricate torana with elephants, snow lions, boys on deer, makaras and devotees with folded hands, centred by Garuda with a snake, 28 cm
