A Chinese bronze figure group, 19th century of a laughing man and woman standing bare-footed on a large plantain leaf, a large lotus leaf to the male figure's back, a lotus bud about his shoulder, the lady sitting on a huge lingzhi mushroom, using its cap as a shade. 18 cm high
bronze. An alloy of copper and tin, traditionally in the proportions of about 9 parts of copper to 1 part of tin.
