A three piece Louis XVI style marble clock garniture, later 19th century, the clock in flecked ochre marble with an enamel painted dial and Arabic numerals set within an architectural plinth upon a shaped base, surmounted by a marble and bronze urn and accompanied by pairs of candlesticks of conforming design.     It is very fluid in a molten state, and its hardness, strength when set, and non-corrosive properties makes it most suitable for casting sculpture.
