Set of 12 Russian Imperial silver handle knives, (main course) St. Petersburg 1857, 84 zolotnik purity (875), 26.5 cm long approx Provenance: Owners fled Russian circa 1917 and settled in Tientsin (Tianjin) China and became part owners of Talati House Hotel, which was frequented by Europeans living in the city. These forks were used as part of the cutlery service in the hotel.
