Carter's Price Guides to Antiques and Collectables is now fully indexed to enable you to quickly locate the type of items you are seeking prices on.
Carter's Price Guides have been published for 27 years, and include prices on antiquities, antiques, collectables, retro, vintage and 20th century design, from 1500 BC to the present day, with a price range of $5 to over one million dollars.
To keep the price guide current and relevant, we are constantly adding fresh items, and removing the older items.January 2012: We've updated the price guide with about 35,000
fresh items and removed 30,000 older items.
June 2011: We've just updated our price guide with an additional 10,000+
fresh items, and removed 8,000 older items.
September 2011: We've added a further 2000 fresh items.
October 2011: We've added another 2000 fresh items.
Each newly added item includes a professionally taken photograph, an expert's description and the current price range for similar items. Items added cover the full spectrum of antiques and collectables, from a cedar sideboard valued in excess of $600,000 to a Pumpkinhead Smurf valued at $5 to $7 .
With the fresh items recently added, our price guide now includes over 95,000 items.
All antiques and collectables in this database include a professionally photographed image, and have been sourced from dealers and auctioneers in Australia and New Zealand. You can search by category/subcategory, keyword or by dealer, with the facility to further refine your search by manufacturer, date of manufacture, material, shape etc. making it easy to drill down to the item you're seeking.
Remember that this site is a price guide and not an online marketplace for antiques and collectables. The items included will have been photographed from several months to several years prior to publication on this site. As such, almost all items pictured on the site will now have been sold. If you see an item in which you are interested, please contact the dealer, as although the item may be sold, the dealer may have replaced it with a similar item.
